Hi Family! And Happy New Year! This is the First Sunday in Advent, which means that this is the first Day of the New Church Year!

The word ‘advent’ comes from the Latin which means ‘coming’. The readings in November had us looking up toward Jesus as we wait for His final return, and Advent begins where we left off–looking up and waiting for Jesus’ final return.
