Baptism is a gift from God that does many things. However, there are lots of people–Christians and non-Christians like–who don’t fully understand what great things God does for His people in Baptism. God tells us some of what HE does for US in the Baptism of Jesus!

‘Merry’ in the Olde English means ‘mighty and strong’. This is the season we remember the reason. It’s all about God’s greatest gift to all humanity. And still, so many still refuse to receive this free gift with no strings attached.

It’s almost Christmas! Are you listening to your favorite Christmas songs? Are you watching some of your favorite Christmas movies? As you know, A Christmas Carol (the 1951 version with Alistair Sim) is my favorite. The three spirits visit Scrooge who is at a crossroad in his life at Christmastime.
The Bible tells of Christmas crossroads as well.

Hello Family! Do you know what time it is? It’s time to begin plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas!! But there’s more to time than simply time itself. Have you made plans for the time when the time comes when there is no more time? That’s what Jesus tell His disciples in today’s Gospel reading.
The Christian Church is winding down the Church Calendar. There are only a couple of Sundays remaining until the Christian Church begins Its new year with Advent 1. So, this is the time to consider what time it is. Not only today, but everyone should consider the time each and every day, for the time is at hand.

Do you know what periphery means? Peripheral vision? Periphery means the outside boundary. Peripheral comes from that word as well. It works with the outer boundaries.
Today’s readings look at peripheries. And our peripheries are affected by what’s at the center.

Hi Family! I absolutely LOVE fall! And fall means that Christmas is not too far away. In fact, stores are beginning to display their Christmas wares.
Christmas mean Bethlehem. Christ Jesus is the REAL reason for the season. Yet, Bethlehem isn’t just for Christmas. Bethlehem is available all year round!

Hello Family!
September 29 is St. Michael and All Angels Day. This is the time in the Christian Church year where the Christian Church around the world focuses on spiritual warfare. This time of the Church Year is called “The Church Militant.”
Spiritual warfare doesn’t occur only during the month of October. It happens every day and the devil is at work every hour. Though he’s defeated and Christ Jesus decisively won the War on Calvary and with the empty Easter tomb, daily battles still occur. Spiritual warfare will continue until the Day when Jesus returns. So, where do you place your hope and trust? Is God first? If not, then what or who is first?
